The incoming Administration put out a call for ideas that it should take prompt action on–the Day One Project. Ideas were welcomed in a variety of areas:

  • Education and Workforce
  • Energy, Environment and Climate
  • Health and Life Sciences
  • Innovation and economic competitiveness
  • IT & Technology Policy
  • National Security
  • Science policy

Four colleagues and I were asked to submit a paper to the Day One Project in the area of advanced space capabilities. The paper is now posted on the project’s website:

https://www.dayoneproject.org/post/advanced-space-architectures-program-championing-innovation-in-next-generation-in-space-operations

Reading it, you’ll notice that it impacts several of the Project’s interest areas. We show a new way to achieve climate data; we advocate for new technologies that will create jobs; the plan will grow the space economy; and the elements of our architecture will greatly enhance the security of our space assets.

Perhaps if you think this plan is a good idea, you might write your Congressman!
